Today our god parents children are doing saraswati pooja at school. Shree Panchami, Basanta panchami or Saraswati Pooja is one of the most important festivals in Nepal. Basanta Panchami is the day when winter ends and spring starts. Vasant Panchami falls in January-February (Magh - Fagun). We worship Goddess Saraswati in this day. Goddess Saraswati is regarded as the goddess of knowledge. She is worshiped as the source of all intelligence and creativity. Her blessings are the source of innovation and knowledge . She is the creator of art, music, science and all education.Saraswati is one of the greatest creation of Lord Bhrama. She is believed to be the most beautiful creation of Brahma. Saraswati is four handed Goddess seated on a white lotus wearing white sari. Her vehicle is a white Swan. She holds Veena, Book and a garland in her hands. The day is very auspicious day. This is the day for many Nepali kids start writing their first letters and alphabets. Children are taken to Saraswati temple and asked to read and write first letter of their life. The wall of Swaraswati temples across the country are scribbled by Nepali Alphabet, numbers and slokas. Kids use white chalk to write on the slate or wall. Therefore, it is very important day for every kid. It is believed, Shree Panchami is the best day to start learning new things. Students worship books, pens, notebooks and other instruments. Musician worship his/her instruments. Professionals worships their tools. In one sentence, this is the day when the source of knowledge, art and education are worshiped.
Students worship goddess Saraswati with more diligence and respect. Schools and colleges have special celebration of Saraswati puja in house. In Madhesh and Terai region of Nepal there is tradition of collecting money to build and establish idols of goddess Saraswati at the town avenues. People visit the idols and pay homage and regards. People sometimes organize idols competetions too. The community who establish the best idol wins and is awarded. This adds more fun to the celebration.

king Cobra (English), Raj Goman, Kalinag, Kenwata (Nepali). Usually 3-3.5 m (up to 5.5 m) long, hatchlings about 40-60 cm. It is the largest venomous snake in the world. Likely throughout the lowlands and lower mountains of Nepal up to 3500 m altitude. Prefers forests and plantations in the vicinity of water and bamboo stands; King cobras are active by day, move rapidly, climb and swim well. Envenoming by King Cobra causes local swelling of the bitten part and progressive paralysis of the peripheral nervous system, leading to respiratory paralysis and death due to asphyxia. As king cobras can inject huge amounts of a venom that is not included in the production of Indian polyvalent antivenoms, large amounts of antivenom may be needed for neutralization.

On July 17th, 2020 we officially started Phase I of the development plan to improve the health care service in the Machhapuchhre Village Municipality Ward no.3 in Kaski, Nepal.
Upcoming phases will stabilize and further improve the quality of all basic and necessary community health services. Phases III and IV focus on improving access to basic health services, including family planning, child health and safe motherhood, closer to rural households. We are going to contribute to providing educated manpower, such as female community health volunteers, basic health care services comprising the distribution of contraceptives, folic acid, Vitamin A and oral rehydration packets, as well as a community mental health program to combat common diseases like depression or epilepsy. On the grassroot level, the combination of Health Posts and Community Health Workers (CHW), e.g. female community health volunteers, is at the heart of PHC work in Nepal.
Phase I and Phase II emphasize the implementation of an integrated and high-quality maternal, newborn and child health service. Improving coverage and quality of immunization procedures, prevention of mother-child-transmission (PMTCT), antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period health services will be vital to reduce preventable maternal, newborn and infant deaths (according to the two global strategic plans, the ENAP and Strategies for Ending Preventable Maternal Mortality, EPMM).
Nepal’s Himalayan terrain has always provided challenges for infrastructural improvements in health service delivery. The delivery of PHC in Nepal is still based on networks on district level as well as on below district level health care facilities such as Sub-Health Posts. Only about 20 % of the Health Care facilities provide basic emergency obstetric care and around 55% provide basic delivery and newborn services.

In our country, the paddy grown in Nepal is harvested from the field with a sickle and in this way, the husk and dust of the paddy are cleaned by the nanglo.(A traditional bamboo plate)
No matter how many technical equipments come to our country Nepal, the people of our country still use two plows of oxen, plow and yoke to make the soil fertile for planting crops.
Our country Nepal is an agricultural country. And since it is time to plant paddy in our country this month, everyone is planting paddy happily together.
Ashad and Shrawn are the months when we Nepalis are very busy. Because in this month our country Nepal is planting paddy and millet.
Our country Nepal is an agricultural country. And since it is time to plant paddy in our country this month, everyone is planting paddy happily together.
Dogs are kept in rural areas of our country because we worship dogs as a dog festival. In addition, dogs protect the house.
In our country most people go fishing in the river during the day to spend their time. And some people go fishing thinking that there is vegetables for dinner.
As green wealth is the wealth of Nepal, most of the people in our country farm and raise cattle at home, so they cut grass for cattle and bring it to Doko.
No matter how many technical equipment come to our country Nepal, they are still doing their work for agriculture in the old way, and they are very happy to be working in their own way.
This month Kaski Santosh sir giving stationery items because the results of the our children's exams came and now school is about to start. In the stationery items we distributed new copies, pencils, pens to the children's.And their rest of money we save for their new books. When school gives new books we buy then receive bills. There Susant and his grandmother received stationary things.
Before a month we provided necessary food n hygiene supplies for Susant and his parent's. That had to wait a long time and struggle for soap and food especially. It was really not easy to manage for Santosh sir and our Pokhara-Team to get the rare permission for Child Aid Organizations, because there is a fastly increasing number of corona virus infections in Nepal and in Kaski as well.
After getting the permission my the Ministry of Home Affairs and the local government of Kaski District and most of the other Districts we are working inside, we started with the distribution of: protective clothes and equipment for healthcare workers to prevent them catching coronavirus and other highly infectious diseases, 2.600 masks, hygiene articles, and corona educational material for children, families, health posts, district authorities and schools, as well as essential food supplies for the Children and Families that are not part of our regular Child Sponsorship Program.
It is a humanitarian emergency situation right now in Nepal, caused by the lockdown. Most people dont have any incoming ways now. Incoming is commonly on a daily bas and being able to buy food or other important good directly depend on the incoming. Thats why so many people suffer now from hunger.
Due to the kind support of godparents and other donors we were able to help also children and families in the surroundings of our godparents children, as well as some of the small health posts that are standing on the frontline against any disease. There no protective clothes and equipment for healthcare workers at all. We would like to change that for now and for the future as well.
Thanks to the help of one of our Kaski district children godparents it was made possible for us to help the most vulnerable people of the 2 villages Ghyachok and Lahachok during the Corona Lockdown.
With the help of a single donation we were able to provide food and hygiene supplies to the families in need.
To maximize the impact of our help and use the donated money as properly and effectively as much as possible we chose only those families that are most affected by the pandemic lockdown. 99% of them belong to the most vulnerable ethnic groups.
The choice was made in cooperation with the local administration office although we had the decision-making power and it was carried out by ourself as we always do. Never we give money in other hands, we only trust ourselves.
As you know, Nepal has been under lockdown since March 24, 2020, due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. Thanks to generous single donations we are able to distribute protective clothes and equipment for healthcare workers to prevent them catching coronavirus and other highly infectious diseases, 2.600 masks, hygiene articles, and corona educational material for children, families, health posts, district authorities and schools, as well as essential food supplies for the Children and Families that are both part and not part of our regular Child Sponsorship Program.
With the nationwide lockdown in effect, people’s normal life has been affected severely. Offices, schools, and public transportation have all come to a halt. With that, many had lost their means of living. The most hard-hit are the daily wage workers and the underprivileged who can neither earn money nor get the relief due to different reasons. Beside our primary goal to protect our godparents children and their families we are trying our best to feed the hungry and needy ones with the help of donations, because we cannot divide the godparents children money.
In many areas new mothers have not been able to get enough to eat. They have complained that food materials distributed by the provincial and local governments have not reached the impoverished settlements. Pregnant women needing nutritious food have not been able to eat normal food supplements. Adequate milk and vaccinations for newborns have not been provided. According to experts, the lack of nutritious food and vaccines is one of the main causes of maternal and infant mortality. Children who have grown up with a lack of nutrition and vaccines are more likely to have anemia and disability. According to government data, in some districts 59 per cent of children between the ages of six months and 59 months are anemic.

Unser neuer Namaste Kids Help Shop
